Early British punk, goth, rock band, The Damned have been together as a band for forty years. That's a great reason for a tour and the band stopped over in Houston to play the House of Blues. The 40th Anniversary Tour also includes Riverside, Ca. band, The Bellrays and while in Houston, they also had local act, Turnaways who opened for them.
The Damned were the first punk group from the UK to release a single, an album and tour the U.S. and they did it all before the Sex Pistols. Beginning in 1976 the constants of the band have been lead singer, Dave Vanian and guitarist, Captain Sensible. The band has been through many incarnations and have included notable musicians such as Lemmy, Generation X and Sigue Sigue Sputnik guitarist Brian James and Culture Club drummer, Jon Moss.
