Tim Trostle, affectionately known as Tim (Edwards) Trostle during his radio days, was a key part of Houston’s legendary rock station 101 KLOL-FM (Rock 101 KLOL). He contributed significantly to the station’s promotions department, helping drive its vibrant energy as one of Houston’s premier heritage rock outlets.

KLOL, a beloved album-oriented rock station, thrived on creative marketing and community engagement, and Tim played an integral role in those efforts. His work supported the station’s iconic status in the Houston market, collaborating with promotions legends like Doug Harris.

Tim reunited with former KLOL colleagues—including promotions team members—at the station’s 2022 alumni gathering, where he reconnected with the team that made the station unforgettable. His time at KLOL remains a cherished chapter in Houston radio history, celebrated by fans and alumni of the rock era.

A dedicated broadcast professional with 15 years in radio, Tim helped keep the spirit of classic rock alive in the Bayou City.

Graduated Westbury High School, then a two year stint as a college football player in Oklahoma taught me I really wasn’t one.
