Joe Sayre, better known as Colonel St. James, was a legendary Houston radio personality whose tenure at 101 KLOL left an indelible mark on the city's rock scene. Born in Texas, Sayre’s radio journey began in 1973, but it was at KLOL from 1980 to 1984 where he truly became an icon.
